ALL XRPL FEE TYPES
XRP Ledger Fees – Complete Reference 2026
The XRP Ledger has several types of fees: the base transaction fee (0.00001 XRP), token transfer fees set by issuers, and reserve requirements. No single party collects fees — the network remains neutral.
Types of Fees on the XRP Ledger
The XRP Ledger includes three main categories of fees. First, the transaction cost: a tiny amount of XRP (0.00001 XRP minimum) burned with every transaction. Second, transfer fees: optional fees set by token issuers on XRPL tokens (not XRP itself) — ranging from 0% to 1%. These are burned when a user transfers the token between non-issuer accounts. Third, reserve requirements: minimum XRP balances required to keep an account and its objects on-ledger. XRP itself never has a transfer fee because it has no issuer. Understanding all three helps developers and users plan costs accurately when building on the XRP Ledger.
